• Defending The Anointing – Travel With Your Lead Pastor ( Part 6)

Bishop Pride Sibiya has been in the trenches ministering the gospel for over two decades now.

He is the Founding President and Presiding Bishop of Glory Ministries. Amongst his many sons and daughters; I have been priviledged to directly manage and administer him since July 2013.

He triples up as my Lead Pastor, District Pastor; and Bishop of Glory Ministries. In addition to that, he has numerous outside engagements; both at ministerial and professional levels.

Bishop Pride Sibiya is a married man with three daughters. His immediate family broadens up to include his biological mother, sister siblings, in-laws, close relatives and many other dependents who also live with him.

It is a herculean task to manage a Kingdom General of that magnitude. It calls for much more dedication, service and sacrifice. What I am going to share in this article series is informed by both experience and revelation.

    6. Travel With Your Lead Pastor: Most lead pastors are invited to minister in different platforms and geographical locations. They are treated differently from one platform to another. Never assume that certain things will be taken care of. I have witnessed some shocking practices, which could be totally alien from what you are accustomed to seeing.

Your physical presence in the travels of your lead pastor will assist to make sure that the following issues, among others, are addressed either from your side or the host’s side depending on the invitation agreement or practice.

Handling his personal documents and gadgets, e.g. laptop, tablet, wallet, sun glasses, Bible, notebook, pens, flash drives, disks, codeless microphones, and mic batteries.

Check his personal travelling documents well in time depending with the nature of travel, e.g. passport, visa application, visa gratis authorization, conference invitation and programme, air tickets.
The adequacy of transport to return him back home, i.e. enough fuel, enough bus fare and return air tickets depending on nature of travel.

The suitability of the transport vis-à-vis the travel, i.e. you cannot have your lead pastor travelling by road from say Harare (Zimbabwe) to Kinshasa (DRC). By the time he reaches the conference destination, he will be so exhausted.

The suitability of the accommodation facilities, i.e. is the place hospitable, hygienic and safe. You cannot have your lead pastor being checked in a lodge that doubles up as a brothel.
He carries enough clothes to change throughout the conference or for any eventuality.
Seeing that he is well dressed, ready to stand in front of people and minister the word.
He has his handkerchief and towel in place.

Carry your own toiletries just in case, e.g. soap, tissues, hand sanitizer.

Depending on your proximity and levels of exposure; be the one to drive him as he takes a rest interceding for the onward mission.

He has enough cordials, i.e. water, drink, flavoured sweets.
He is served the right type of food as per his dietary requirements.

May God bless you in your service as you defend the anointing.
